Η Candace Bushnell είναι best-selling συγγραφέας, παραγωγός και, πιο πρόσφατα, η πρωταγωνίστρια της δικής της solo παράστασης, της αναγνωρισμένης από τους κριτικούς «True Tales of Sex, Success and Sex and the City». Το show, που ξεκίνησε από το Daryl Roth Theater (off-Broadway), χαρακτηρίστηκε από τους New York Times ως «critic’s pick».
Η Bushnell είναι η παγκοσμίως γνωστή δημιουργός του «Sex and the City» (1996), του βιβλίου που αποτέλεσε τη βάση για το τηλεοπτικό φαινόμενο της HBO (έξι σεζόν, δύο ταινίες και το reboot «And Just Like That», που βρίσκεται ήδη στην παραγωγή της τρίτης σεζόν). Είναι ευρέως γνωστή ως η «αληθινή Carrie Bradshaw» ή η «O.G. Carrie Bradshaw». Η Bushnell δημιούργησε τον χαρακτήρα ως alter-ego της ενώ έγραφε το «Sex and the City», καθώς δεν ήθελε να μάθουν οι γονείς της ότι επισκεπτόταν sex clubs.

The “Real Carrie Bradshaw,” comes to Greece for the first time!
Candace Bushnell, the internationally best-selling author and legendary creator of Sex and the City, brings the spirit of Manhattan to Athens. On Friday, April 17, Gazarte Main Stage transforms into a glamorous setting for her new one-woman show—an unapologetic, exhilarating journey from Studio 54 to Lipstick Jungle. The OG Carrie Bradshaw shares true stories of fashion, literature, and love that inspired an entire generation, inviting audiences to the ultimate Girls’ Night Out.
Candace Bushnell is a best-selling novelist, TV producer, and, most recently, the star of her own one-woman show, the critically acclaimed True Tales of Sex, Success and Sex and the City. Originally performed off-Broadway at the Daryl Roth Theater, the New York Times declared it a “critic’s pick.” Bushnell is now performing an international version that has received standing ovations, most recently in Cape Town and Johannesburg, proclaiming that Bushnell left “the audience mesmerized by her brilliant performance.”
Bushnell is famously the author of Sex and the City, published in 1996, the basis for the TV phenomenon Sex and the City, spawning six-seasons on HBO, two movies and the re-boot series And Just Like That, currently in production for its third season. An acclaimed novelist, Bushnell is the international best-selling author of Four Blondes, Trading Up, Lipstick Jungle, One Fifth Avenue, and The Carrie Diaries. Lipstick Jungle and The Carrie Diaries each became network TV series (NBC and The CW) for two seasons.
She is also famously known as the “real life Carrie Bradshaw” or the O.G. Carrie Bradshaw. Bushnell created the character as her alter-ego while writing Sex and the City because she didn’t want her parents to know that she’d just been to a sex club. She often appears on TV, starting back in 1996, when she had her own reality show, Sex, Lives and Video Clips on VH1, where—sure enough—Bushnell and a co-host were required to go to sex clubs. She’s appeared on dozens and dozens of chat shows, including Oprah and Charlie Rose and is currently scheduled to tour True Tales of Sex, Success and Sex and the City in Europe and the U.S. in 2025.
A unique journey behind the scenes of Candace Bushnell’s life will come to life on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Gazarte Main Stage.
Don’t miss the true tales that shaped an era, in an evening where New York City moves to the heart of Athens.
